Job description
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the annual budget, forecasting, and standard cost-setting processes by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, with a clear understanding of risks and opportunities.
- Analyze monthly financial results, including P&L and Balance Sheet, and prepare variance analysis versus budget and prior year to support cost reduction opportunities.
- Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis as needed to support decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage the investment request (CAPEX) process, including validation of assumptions, financial modeling, and preparation of submission packages.
- Support cross-functional teams including Production, Technical, and other departments with relevant financial insights and data.
Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly plant financial results package for presentation to Senior Management.
- Prepare weekly financial reporting packages for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation for the General Ledger Accountant, credit card reconciliation, and validation of financial controls and intercompany reconciliations.
Operational & Performance Reporting
- Develop, improve, and maintain KPI reporting to enhance visibility of operational performance and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with Plant Management and the Sales Office to monitor and track Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Profile
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Professional Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost analysis, or a related area preferred.
Technical Skills
- Financial Analysis Proficiency: Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting are essential.
- Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices is important.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and basic Microsoft PowerPoint skills required. Experience with ERP packages required, SAP and SAP BI knowledge is preferred.
