Facilities & Preventive Maintenance Supervisor

Overview
The Facilities & Preventive Maintenance Supervisor will lead and guide the technicians to ensure the efficient and effective execution of preventive maintenance and reactive repair work. The supervisor will provide coaching, support, and direction as needed.
Training Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for team members.
- Ensure ongoing professional development of the team.
- Oversee training needs and evaluations, including both technical training and methodological approaches to addressing faults.
Daily Monitoring of Faults and Communication:
- Monitor the PM and repair schedule and establish governance within the team.
- Monitor the facilities work orders and help prioritize assignments.
- Ensure clear communication and feedback to stakeholders (production units, reliability, planning, etc.).
- Serve as the point of contact for Production Supervisors regarding PMs and reactive repairs.
- Serve as the point of contact for external service providers and contractors in preventive maintenance, monitoring the execution of their work.
- Serve as the escalation point for facility work and repairs.
Continuous Improvement and Fault Investigation:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency with PMs and facility maintenance and repair and within the reactive maintenance process.
- Promote effective methodologies for addressing PM, facility, parts inventory, and repair issues within the team.
- Conduct initial in-depth fault investigations related to facilities matters with the team to prevent recurring issues.
Reliability:
- Prepare for and participate in weekly fault review meetings within the technical department.
- Engage in reliability meetings to discuss and improve maintenance practices
Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Repairs, and Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of PMs and reactive repair work.
- Monitor preventive maintenance KPIs (execution time and aftercare) and initiate improvement proposals and preventive actions.
Knowledge Sharing and Assurance:
- Oversee the accurate recording of reports in Ultimo.
Safety, Hygiene (HACCP), and Quality:
- Promote and monitor adherence to safety regulations.
- Implement and oversee the proper use of LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out) procedures and 5S methodologies.
- Encourage and ensure compliance with hygiene rules and regulations.
Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred; an Associate’s degree and 5+ years of relevant leadership experience is acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar leadership role.
Specific Knowledge
- Mechanical and electrical components and mechanisms
- PLC control systems
- Pneumatic control and components
- Motors and controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Ultimo is a plus
Professional Experience
- Prior work in maintenance, facilities, or technical services or a production environment
- Previous leadership experience required (either as team leader, supervisor, or manager)
- Familiarity with bakery machinery is a plus
- Hands-on experience with packaging installations in the food industry is ideal (FMCG and CPG environments are suitable alternatives)
- Experience with technical aspects of facilities, utilities, and telecommunications is a plus
