R&D Product Specialist
Job description
You are the key point of contact for product & process development, covering raw materials, equipment processability, product-process interactions, and ingredient research.
You will be the lead and support complex projects, including new product & process developments & optimizations.
You will create, share and update knowledge on raw materials, equipment and their interactions with the products & processes and give trainings to your colleagues to share this knowledge.
You will play an advisory and support role for R&D product and raw material related issues
You will act as a product expert by managing technical specifications & advising on raw material and product-related issues.
You will collaborate with various departments, such as Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Procurement, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Profile
You have a Master degree in Food engineering, Food technology, Bio Engineer Chemistry, or other related fields.
You have 2-5 years of experience in R&D, specifically in product and raw material development.
You have a strong scientific mindset with experience in fundamental research (e.g., experimental setups).
You have a deep understanding of food chemistry, food physics, and analytical problem-solving.
Project management experience is essential.
Fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
