Corporate FSQA Sr. Suppliers Engineer

As our Corporate FSQA Suppliers Engineer at Lotus Bakeries, you take the lead in ensuring that all raw materials and packaging used across our group meet the highest standards in food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You work closely with suppliers to assess and improve their systems, organise audits, manage risks, and build strong relationships that support long-term excellence. By combining a critical eye with a collaborative mindset, you help protect our brands, support our production sites, and raise supplier performance to the next level.

Job description

  • You take the lead in implementing and continuously improving the FSQMS for raw and packaging materials, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and external regulations
  • In this role, you organise supplier audits, assess risks, and turn findings into targeted actions that strengthen supplier performance
  • By monitoring KPIs such as complaints, non-conformances, derogations, audit results and out-of-spec trends, you help drive continuous improvement across the supply base
  • Together with production, R&D, procurement and suppliers, you work towards aligned quality expectations and smooth integration of new developments
  • Together with procurement, you assure the approval of and transparent strong working relationship with our suppliers, ensuring the right level of contingengy is considered to secure business continuity
  • You support suppliers through training and guidance, manage complaints, and ensure documentation and certifications are accurate and up to date
  • As team lead, you coach and develop a QA Engineer, creating a collaborative environment focused on growth and quality excellence

Profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Food Technology or a related field, and bring in-depth expertise in food safety, HACCP, and quality systems
  • With at least 8 years of relevant experience, you’ve built a strong track record in food processing, packaging, and supplier auditing
  • You manage complex quality topics independently and communicate your insights clearly and consistently
  • Analytical thinking and project management are among your key strengths
  • You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a welcome asset
  • Your collaborative mindset, commercial awareness and leadership qualities enable you to inspire teams, challenge constructively, and drive improvement
