As a Finance Manager, these would be some of your main responsibilities.

General Accounting

• Responsible for all day-to-day finance matters and month-end closing in the financial system;
• Responsible for managing all accounting transactions (AR, AP, FA, GL, Cost accounting) and timely completion of month-end closing;
• Ensure complete and accurate BS, PL, TB and sub-ledger and ensure month-end balance sheet file is in place including account reconciliations; 
• Responsible for planning/preparation of annual statutory accounts and ensure all is conform local GAAP and in compliance with local laws and regulations;
• Responsible for communication with internal and external auditors;
• Any other ad-hoc task from line manager.

Financial Reporting and Planning

• Business partner for the Country Manager and other disciplines in order to achieve financial targets.
• Ensure complete and timely completion of group reporting on a monthly basis including MAR report and disclosure reporting in SAP BPC, including communication with the Corporate Controlling team in HQ (Belgium)
• Prepare/provide financial reports/analysis of the business performance to the country management team, e.g. weekly sales/commercial reports, cost to serve reports, promotional analysis, customer profitability analysis, marketing cost trackers;
• Provide input from a financial perspective (PNL analysis) on new listings and business cases if it comes to new production development;
• Responsible for DOI, DAI and P&I review/analysis and providing insights to country manager and commercial team on the actual performance versus plan;
• Responsible for timely preparation and submission of LE’s and Budget;

Tax 

• Responsible for all tax related matters in Korea and compliance with local regulation plus any communication with local tax authorities.
• Ensure complete and timely preparation/submission all VAT filings;
• Ensure complete and timely preparation/submission of CIT filings/inspections and any withholding tax filings;

Treasury/Working Capital and Internal Control

• Ensure cash flow forecast is prepared on a monthly basis providing insights in future cash position of the company
• Ensure compliance with local regulation in terms of incoming/outgoing payments in terms of local Korea regulation (i.e. contracts, withholding taxes, etc.)
• Ensure optimization of the company’s working capital position;
• Continuously review existing processes for further improvements/optimization; 
• Provide training to other departments to improve execution of SOP and develop new SOPs where needed.

Legal matters and contract register

• Ensure all company legal documentation (corporate housekeeping) and company/business certifications are kept up-to-date and filed in secure place;
• Ensure annual BOD and Shareholder meeting related documents are prepared and executed on time (follow group legal time line).
• Ensure Group contract register is kept up-to-date by the Korea team and local team follows the SOP on contract registration.
